Get Ready For Picture Day
Here’s the Details
Before Picture Day
Here’s some tips to get ready for your yearbook portrait.
Fit Check
You’ll be wearing a tux or drape, so wear something light colored that won’t show underneath, and not too bulky.
For tux, a solid light colored tank-top or t-shirt is a good choice. You can wear any bottoms – they won’t be visible in photos.
For drapes, wear something comfortable that could allow straps to be pushed over your shoulders. If that’s not possible, we will have coverups for you to wear under your drape. The drapes have velcro closure in the back.
Practice your expression
Spend a few minutes in front of the mirror practicing your smile. Aim for a natural, relaxed expression. Think of something that makes you genuinely happy to achieve a more authentic smile.
Hydrate & Rest Up
Get a good night’s sleep before photo day to avoid looking tired. Pay attention to skincare. A clean, moisturized face looks best on camera.
Hair Check
Ensure your hair is clean and styled. If you’re planning a haircut, schedule it a week in advance to avoid the “just cut” look.
On Picture Day
Arrive Early
Please arrive early. To keep the picture day as effecient as possible, please be inside the school 15 minutes prior to your appointment time slot.
Check in and Confirm Email
Our staff will check you in when you arrive, and confirm that the email address that we have from the school is correct. You can add an additional email if you’d like – up to three emails can be added. We’ll use these email addresses to send your individual gallery code. You’ll use this to access your gallery and also pick the pose you want to use for the yearbook.
Tux or Drape
Arriving early will give you the time you’ll need to put on the tux or drape.
What to bring
You may want to bring a comb or hair brush, as well as makeup to do any last minute touchups.
Pose!
Time to shine! We’ll guide you through the portrait session, with different expressions.
After Picture Day
Check your email
Be on the lookout for an email with your gallery code. If for some reason you don’t receive the email (check junk folder), you can reach out to us, or you can also look up your gallery code by visiting the Green Upstate High School landing page under “Find Your Photos” link on our website. You’ll need your senior’s student ID to look up the gallery code.
Pick your Yearbook Pose
Once you visit your private gallery, you can pick a pose for the yearbook. There’s a deadline, so make sure you make a selection prior to the deadline, or a choice will be made for you. This deadline will be sent out via email.
Purchase Prints, gifts and more!
We’ll drop ship your prints right to you, and digitals are available instantly! Most of our packages come with free high resolution images for you to share!

Speaking of sharing, you can share your gallery code with all your family for them to purchase any prints as well, and follow us on social media!
